Please urgent help needed
I have to get my 1987 300e started to get it on a trailor to move it to california. The neutral safety switch needs to be adjusted but I can't seem to locate where it is. Is it accessed from underneath the car or through the gearshift console?

300e
there is a plug in front of the master cylinder that attaches to the firewall toward the engine. if you unplug it and apply battery voltage to the center pin with the purple wire the engine will crank. make certain you are in park and the key is turned on. preferebly have someone in the car. please let me know if this helps.

Neutral safety switch is on the transmission where the gearshift lever goes through the side, driver's side of tranny.

heh...
or unplug the harness on the left side of the tranny (it's the wide one) and find the 3 purple wires, and wire them all together! Just don't try to start the car while it's in gear.

or...
since you only going to move it for a short distance, try to start the car in neutral!
