1977 450sl blinking brake warning light

Help appreciated!! When running on highway, brake warning light keeps blinking on and off, temp guage climbs to above 200 (between 200 and 250 F) checked master, plenty of brake fluid, no leaks, took off wheel, no drags, slight pull to left front wheel. checked wireing to master cylinder, etc, no results. When car is standing still and idling, temp drops back to 200F. Gets hotter when running!, viscous fan seems OK. Any sugggestions appreciated. Regards to all. Abe G

Not an R107 expert, but how's your alternator? My experience is that insufficient voltage usually makes several components go whacko!
