Indy replaced the NSS and all is well.

Glad to see it has been remedied , but would like to know if the NSS was actually changed when the the shifter bushings were replaced ? , as your first post states...

Yes, when the mechanic installed the NSS he gave me the original.

That is the first defective NSS I have seen .. you may want to return it for credit.. Good luck. |

I had to replace a NSS on a similar car, and after 1 month the switch went bad and I had to buy another. Definitely a first for me, I mounted it on the wall as I've never seen it happen before.

Just wanted to update you guys on the starter lockout issue. instead of pulling the cluster, you can just pull the black plastic behind the knee bolster and looking towards the right (if your on your back looking up) there is a group of 4 violet wires with various stripes. The wires going to pins 1 & 3 are just the two larger gauge wires of the four. Just get one of those snap on wire connectors and short them together.
