Vacuum Pump Question
I was wondering if the vacuum pumps used to lock the doors create pressure as well as vacuum. I assume it generates vacuum to lock and generate pressure to open. Is this a correct assumption ?
I want to use one of these pumps in another application but it needs to create pressure and vacuum.

Thanks Steve for the quick reply.
Next Question. -- What controls the motor shutoff ? When the pump is commanded to generate vacuum is the motor operated by some sort of an internal timer or will it keep pumping until a preset level of vacuum is reached. My application has a much larger volume that needs to be evacuated. It will take longer for this little pump to do it. So if it continues to pump until vacuum is acheived that would be really nice. Same goes for pressure.
