2001 S430 Electrical Blues.........

After only 4mos. of blissfull S Class ownership, Houston we have a problem!
Car was towed to dealer on two occassions for ignition problems. When attempting to start vehicle with key, ignition does not respond. The key sometimes acts as if it is being used in the wrong car. It wont unlock the door or release the trunk! Its as if something is shutting down and not allowing the car to recognize its own keys. Each time the car goes to the dealer it or course, after sitting, starts and runs 100%. Two new key were ordered and the car appeared to correct itself for a period of about 2 months. But once again the problem has returned! In the latest episode I was driving the car put in Park, after idling no more than 3 mins I attempted to put the car in Drive and it would not go. I made double sure I was depressing the brake but the car was running but not allowing me to put it in Drive. SRS, ABS and Air Matic were all malfunctioning, or atleast the lights said so! When the car was turn off, it did not start and had to be towed to MB, but it once again started and thats that! It has been diagnosed and I am told there is nothing wrong. I have heard something about and EIS or EDS Module?
There has to be a solution for this, but the MB guys around here cant seem to help!

If its been diagnosed as nothing wrong and nothing is wrong, drive it. If there is something wrong take it back. You are undoubtably dealing with the reason it was sold. The other option is to sell it. Problems like yours are nearly imposible to repair if they go away.

You either need to leave it with someone dedicated enough to pursue it, give them the time, and then pay for their costs or you need to sell it.
