On my 126 model I took out fan and replaced brushes in about 45 minutes, no prior experience Give it a try, you can always find someone to fix it for a price. I think the cool thing about owning these cars is the quest to DIY.

I am not sure how to do this, but it can't be too hard. I have a friend who is mechanically inclined, so maybe he can help. Ill give it chance. If I mess it up, there is always the mechanic who was going to fix it in the first place. By the way anyone know the part numbers for the brushes? I cannot find them in fastlane, so any help is greatly appreciated.
