I took a special permission from the wife to do this on the Kitchen counter , since there are so many little little pieces and springs, I wanted a clean Operation table. These are not that hard to keep track off, I laid them down as they come out of the tumbler. They orientation does make a big difference though, I accidently put one in wrong place and right away I saw the difference once I put the key in. The goal is to have no piece sticking out of the tumbler when you put the key in, then you can slide it into the cylender.
Well I got so encouraged by this success, that I took upon to fix my passenger door lock also. Just finished it, not hard to do, but require a lot of patience as you mentioned.
