Help - Mass airflow sensor removal 92 400E
My 92 400E went into ASR fault mode and isnt clearing on restart. I'm planning on cleaning the throttle plate etc befor throwing $$$ at a new trotle actuator.
The problem I'm having is removing the Mass airflow sensor. I loosened up the clamp (almost completely undoing the clamp, there is lots of free space under the clamp) but the housing isnt comming free. It will rotate a few degrees in either direction (were it hits the stop on the plastic fitting it goes iinto) but it doesnt come up! I gently pried a bit at the top aluminum flanges of the airflow housing but it didnt really move. I searched the archives and checked the removal procedure from the manual. Is there a trick to this? ASR problem happening when cold an no throttle Just FYI the fault codes are initally pin 6 13, 30 pin 7 3, 14 pin 8 9 cleared all codes and restarted car ASR light on pin 6 30 pin 7 14 Thanks for any help Paul Moruzzi |
