I am installing a Alpine Navigation system in my 95 E320
and currently have it hooked up to the VSS wire from the radio harness. However, the Navigation system is not calibrating from this wire. Alpine says I need to find a different VSS output wire like the ECU or Cruise etc. Can anyone help me find where this VSS wire may be?

You may have to pull out the cluster and see if there is an accessable wire there.

I was afraid of that. I have a diagram of the Hall speed sensor connector but could not determine where it was. I am now pretty sure it is behind the dash cluster. Any tips on how to remove the cluster?
