Leave it in 3 until the car shifts into 2nd, then push the lever back to 2 to hold it in 2nd.
I did this for a while, but I found it more troublesome than a full-manual, so I converted my car to stick.

Good point, I will wait a bit longer in 3rd, for now...
I already have a new filter and gasket for the trans in my possession, my mechanic (Indian uncle), is asking $60 for labor and fluid, (I requested that he use Dextron III/Mercon). Is this the right price? I can't do this by myself, since I do not have jackstands..... Thanks to all! |
