lOW COLD IDLE 2.3
Hi guys have bought a 92 190E 2.3 that has a low idle when cold about 450-500rpms then warm 600-700.Whats the things needed to be checked out?

Forget the cold start valve, it does what its name implies. Its controlled by the fuel pump relay.
Check the idle air bypass valve, it's cylindrical with two hoses and a two pin electrical connector. Make sure it's clean inside. The engine temp sensor also needs to be checked. Its controlled by the idle speed stabilization control unit. It gets a temperature signal from the ECU and that signal is also sent to the FPR. Get the repair CD's and check the schematics.
