Pressure in gas tank
I have a 96 SL320 that when I put gas in I open the cap and whoosh! lots of air comes out. I replaced my purge valve (expensive little booger) and I have recieved no more CEL warnings, but the pressure is still there. Is this normal? Thanks and happy Benzing!

It's normal and suppose to be that way. I am surprised that you did not notice it before unless someone else has been filling up the gas for you.

Yes,
the pressure was there before, but I thought it may have been because the purge valve was bad. Thanks for the answer! Best Regards, Brian
