Engine Swap: Is it practical?

I have a 1983 380SEL with a weak engine. I also have a 1980 450SL(rusty body) with an excellent engine that only has 85 k showing. Is this swap practical or would I run in to too many hassels concerning the electronics etc? Any help would be appreciated. If this wont work, the 450 will be parted out. Look in classifieds if interested. Thanks
