BREMI vs. Bosch cap & rotor on W126
The gentlemen @ Fastlane sent me BREMI vs. Bosch, saved me a couple $ in the process, which is not a bad thing, in itself, but...
In this specific application (' 91 420SEL) is there REALLY any material difference? "Made in Germany", looks to be identical, appears to be of very high quality. I did try the Search feature but got very little except about BERU vs. Bosch vs. BREMI plug wires. These guys are the OEM supplier for BMW (and others) and seems like they are WAY smaller than the GIANT Bosch, but a quality company, never-the-less. I'm wondering if this isn't a case like the old Champion, Motorcraft, A/C, etc. system in the US where the big guys make perfectly good parts that just happen to fit (and perform pretty durn good) on the "competition's" applications. As ol' W. von Braun used to say: "Now, THIS really ain't rocket science, boys..." Your comments are appreciated! Norm

Yep! Read that. My ? was about the cap & rotor
Yep! Read ALL the Search posts. My question was about cap & rotor, as my wires are just fine.
Thanks for the prompt reply, Mike!

Based on comments by MBDoc in various posts here, my take on this ign. component issue is that Beru is the way to go with an MB.
I've been able to locate Beru wires at various web sellers, but never dist. cap and rotor. I located a Beru wire seller in San Diego. http://www.kingsborne.com 800-643-0375 Spoke with a Warren Kingsborne over the phone. He told me that in addition to the Beru wires/connectors, he can also get Beru dist. caps & rotor. I'm waiting to hear back from him on price. I went to the local MB dealer the other day and their new wire set, complete with wire and end connectors was right at $190.00 + tax. These were Bosch wires. I'll wait to hear about the Beru parts from Kingsborne.
