Guys, great thread.
But I still have some confusion/concerns about the alarm (old-timer's disease).

- Costanza had no alarm, so no issue for him.
- Crhenkel said the alarm will not be an issue, as long as the unit fires the
driver door unlock, the alarm will be disarmed.
- But Dacanes said he hooked a signal to the alarm to get it to disarm.
(what year/model was his car?)

It seems pretty clear that any vacuum system will need the DLS-V relays.

But, am I "alarm-safe" installing Contanza's system in a '91 126 with the vacuum system that unlocks all doors from the trunk?

YES, as long as the unit is unocking the sytem, be it the the trunk or the doors, the alarm will disarm. I had a system on another MB and did it on the trunk ( a W124 300CE) it worked fine.
