190E stalls when warm, restarts when cold

I have a 1986 190E with 158,000 miles. Last week the car suddenly cut out as I was driving it, and I parked it. When I came back to the car the next day it started, but stalled as soon as it reached normal operating temperature, and would not restart until it cooled off again. I changed fuel filter, no help. Runs fine until it suddenly stops. What next???? Thanks
