560SL Dash gos Tick-tock ???
I have a tick-tock sound coming from the right side of my 86, 560SL dash some where behind the clove box. The sound sounds like the flasher sound when you turn on the turn signals. It does it with the motor running and for about 15 seconds after you turn the car off.
Do any of you smart guys know what this may be or how I should go about trouble shoots? Thanks for all your help dave 86 560SL

A/C Vacuum control valve Solenoids ? Do you have Temperature control problems?

My 87 300D made a similar sound and was associated with my alarm system which maybe the similar system in your SL. Are your headlights blinking on and off with the sound?

My '87 560 SEL does the same thing, it may be the courtesy lights letting you get out of the car before turning off.
