CLK Death by trunk

I am at a total loss for what going on here, especially after reading all the other related threads.. 98 CLK battery dies in a 48hours if the car is not driven, I think the Battery is a Exide al though its never given me any problem before but here are the sypmtoms i am having.
1. The Alarm system stop flashing when locked remotely.
2. The remote trunk switch in the console stays lit, but the light and the alarm problem go away if i put even the slightest pressure on the right left side of the trunk. I mean i can literally set a can of soda there and problem solved.
Oddly, can this run the battery down?

Could it be one of those rubber covered contacts or sensors in the trunk. While driving i can see the light on the swith flicker but i have no idea how to adjust or replace them?

Please help!..i has set the world record for jump starting a CLK in the last few months
