You have the 240D with the 115 chassis. Replacing the heater blower motor is one of the most difficult jobs to do on a Mercedes. First, remove the center console and go at it from there. At some point you will discover that you will have to remove the windowsheild wiper blades. If you do get that far, you will see why. When you do get down to the blower, you will find that it is held on by only three screws, and why you will have to remove the wiper blades. Good luck.
I don't envy you with this job. You can take it. It's really not so hard. It's just what all you have to do to replace a part held on by three screws.Good luck again. Bill Lewallen Lexington,Ky. |

I am tackling this same situation... I removed the window grille and can touch the blower motor, but can scarcely turn it with my hand... I am going to attempt to lubricate it once I get it out... I simply hope I can get the entire console and consensor out! Augh!
