Differential play question
Hi all,
Had my '82 380sl jacked up today to change a rear wheel. I immediately noticed a great deal of play when i moved the wheel. How much is within spec? I could get about 3" on either side of 12:00. I could move it about an inch in either direction before the driveshaft started turning, and then it looked and felt like the remaining 2" of play was somewhere from the front end of the driveshaft or tranny. Any thoughts? I appreciate your input! --Jay |
