Reading Codes 1988 300E non-california

Okay I fixed the fuel pump relay and the car runs fine.
But I am trying to read the codes from the car and still do not have a clue.
I have read numerous posts but it seems that nobody knows or they talk about another car.
Can anybody please help. I have built the LED circuit from this guys website K6JRF's Page (formerly W6FZC) and I am ready for testing from plug X-11
thanks
ACM

Non-California cars don't have the ability to store codes!!

IF the duty cycle(lamda control) reading from the computer is cycling then there isn't any problems.

If your car is not a California car you can only obtain on off ratio or duty cycle readout at X11... it does not store fault codes or give a pulse readout.

A $30.00 dollar multi-meter with a duty cycle setting can read the on-off ratio at X11 pin #3 to ground (ground=pin#2)

Instructions can be found in the 124 MB CD set
From the Engine Manual // Combustion Manual // 07.3 Mechanical/electronic gasoline injection system (KE injection) // 0121 Testing electrical components of KE injection system...pp 97.
