Black smoke coming out of both windshield washer nozzles??
Non on a MB but on a 88 BMW 528E. Never seen anything like it. Smelled like burned wires….
The windshield washer mechanism still works fine and using it cleared out the smoke. Any suggestions? TIA

There's an electric heater element in some of the hoses that are used to de-ice the washer system. I disabled mine since I like in a temperate area, and use washer fluid with anti-freeze when going to the mountians.
