1985 500sel-I smell burnt oil through the heater/ac when the
engine is warm while not moving and also from outside the the car after parking in the garage. Where do I look for the leak ? Thanks

You most likely have some liquid hitting a hot surface. MY first guess would be in the valve cover gasket area or the rear main seal/front transmission pump area.
