Question quick question 001: what is this part for?

what is the function of this part on my 87 300E?

I think it's for the air condition blower.

Blower motor...

Lino means the fan motor for the heat, A/C, ventilation system. More leaned persons here may correct me, but I believe it is located near the underhood fuse box on or near the left fender.

thanks lino. since it's cheap i'll replace that first, see if it gets my blower to work.

also check fuse #5 in the fuse box

yeah... i keep going back to that, hoping that i just didn't look close enough.. i can't really afford all those pricey repairs/parts...
