OK >> Daughter killed Bambi which resulted in major damage to the front end of my C230. Repair shop had to disconnect the tranny cooler lines to effect repairs...

In putting the Benz back together they failed to tighten the tranny lines and I lost [what I thought was a significant amount of fluid] >> so I added fluid > 1 QT

I checked the tranny fluid level with the official MB dipstick > and noted that I had way too much fluid >> was past the 80 mark when car was cold.

Used my Mighty vac pump and sucked out tranny fluid till it was a tad above the 25 mark.

Now >> the car will not shift into high gear..

Did I remove too much fluid??

Request help in proper usage of the MB dipstick...
