2 questions: Hole in dash(crazy girlfriend) and rattling muffler

OK I have a 98 clk 320. Yesterday my girlfriend and I got in a fight while driving. She then proceeds to puncture my dash board with her heels. So thats #1....how can I go about repairing a hole in the leather of the dash. It's right underneath the air bag.

#2. I had a uhaul hitch installed on the car and ever since, the muffler rattles when at idle or close to idle. You can also feel the slightest bit of shaking when at idle. (wasn't there before)....any ideas guys?

Yeah smack the girlfriend for that first one and smack her hard.....

Number two is to let the car idle and look under the car for whatever is running. Most likely a heat shield was bent out of the way when the hitch was installed or there is a shield that has become lose and is rattling. The second part just could be due to the fact that the car is 7 years old and sometimes things just wear out.

Make her pay for the repair. If she balks, then start putting holes in her shoes, or take her to court. You see these court cases on Texas Justice all the time. There no need to put up with such destructive behavior. She did it to purposely hurt you without physically attacking you.

What HE said...

For # 2 wherein you mention shaking, a common cause is/are motor mounts. 7 year old rubber might be suspect just because of age - higher mileage will accelerate the decay process.

Curious - what do you trailer with a 320?
