w140 rear, power window won't go up. Please
tell me how to get it closed until I can have the regulator replaced. I have a 4 month old baby and it's too cold for her in the back seat.

is it necessary to remove the door panel just to get the window in the up position?

If the regulator is broken you can often just grab the top edge of the window and pull it up by hand. Be careful...those 140 windows aren't cheap!
After you get it up use some duct tape to secure it.
