re-post mad dash
hi all still no joy on my mad dash (i have had the dash out) all the wiring seems ok.i have no oil gauge/temp/fuel/ when i indicate right the petrol gauge flashes. when i put the ignition on the main beam lights up. i have had the dash out about a dozen times now. (could it be the multiplug) it appears to only go in one way. it seems a good fit. there is a relay behind the dash (could this be the fault ) its just doing my head in HELP PLEASE. THE FUSES ARE OK. THE CAR IS A1986 2.3 16v 190e regards ken

If you have had your dash out and checked all your wires, I would think it could be your instrument cluster. I don't know about those models but on the 129's (What I have) they are pretty common to fail and the symptoms are what you have described. Check around and see if you can test it, or if a friend has a car like yours swap it and see if it works, that way you won't be chasing a wiring problem if it is your instrument cluster. Good luck!
