98 slk ..rumbling & vibration right turns

at first i though it was surely a wheel brg but i checked all on the lift.......ran the car in gear and the only thing strange was that the limited slip rear kept changing drive wheels.(with a clunk)........no noise when running straight but when i make tight right circles the whole front of the vehicle vibrates and rumbles........could this be a diff problem?
