Blue Cam in ignition switch

Well after replacing the whole ignition lock housing, tumbler and switch, would not shift out of park. MBDOC suggested the blue cam that goes in between the housing and switch. Well I just knew for sure that it would come installed on a new one, WRONG.

So I am trying to put the cam back in, it will go in a certain way, but once you put the tumbler in it will just not line up. If I put the cam in and then the tumbler the tumbler will not go in all the way. HELP

I need to know if there is a trick to installing the cam.
