I have an 85 380se with an ignition key that must be jiggled to have the fan notor come alive. Heat works fine on start up but then the temp will instantly turn cold after about five minutes (without any change in the fan speed). Nothing will make it heat again except restarting the car, in which case the heat will come back on immediately. Any suggestions?

Heater valve sticking (hydro-lock). MercedesShop has search feature try looking under mono-heat valve, easy repair!!
