I bought my '89 300e used in March 2000. With it came only one ignition key and no valet key. I've since had a couple of copies of the ignition key made (at cost of $26 each) and am wondering how I go about obtaining a valet key for my car.
Does anyone out there know the answer? If so, sharing it with me and the list would be nice Thanks in advance for your help and wisdom.

Your dealer can sell you the correct key for your car, if you give them the VIN. I expect that they can do the same for the valet key.

You can also get a flat master key. I got all three keys with my car and I thought the flat key was the most ingenious thing I had ever seen. It goes right in your wallet and you never know it is there. Its great if you forget your key ring somewhere, you always have a key in your wallet. Like Larry said, your dealer can order any keys for you if you give them your VIN.
