E320 stalls in drive when started cold
Hello,
I have searched through the old posts without luck. Here are the symptoms: My 1994 E320 starts and idles normal. When I put it in drive immediately, it stumbles and usually dies unless I put it back in neutral quickly. If I let it warm for 30 seconds before putting it in drive, everything is normal. It only happens when the engine is "cold" even when the outside temperature is 70+ degrees. I tried a different OVP relay and replaced the fuel filter. The oxygen (O2) sensor is fairly new (8K miles). The CHECK ENGINE light is NOT on. I can live with this by idling for 30 seconds before driving off, but I am afraid it will get worse. I would like to find the problem. Thanks again |
