W124 Rear Wheel Bearing R&R
Friends - left rear wheel bearing getting really noisy on our 1989 300TE. The manual doesn't seem to reference R&R of the bearing. Can this bearing be replaced with the wheel carrier on the car, like most other cars I've had? Looks like the bearing is a press-fit type from the FastLane photos.

THIS ISSUE HAS COME UP BEFORE AND IN EVERY CASE, THE PRO TECH RESPONDING BASICALLY SAID THIS WAS ONE TASK THAT WAS TOUGH FOR DIYERS TO HANDLE. YOU NEED SPECIAL TOOL(S).
THE FOLLOWING THREAD POINTS TO A WEB TOOL SELLER THAT CARRIES WHAT YOU'LL NEED. Rear wheel bearing tool, who sells it?

Just buy the bearing , remove the affected carrier(s) and take it to an idie euro shop. They'll charge you an hours labor and send you on your way
