Hi.
I have a 460 g-wagon power steering unit fitted to my Steyr-Puch Pinzgauer (710M) by prev. owner. Unit works great but a small amount of backlash twixt steering column and internals of box can be detected. Can this backlash be taken up by adjustment without stripping the box ? There are 2 concentric rings around the column entry. The outer has 4 cut-outs in periphery, the inner has 2 indents. Are these locking rings for any adjustment ?? ANY help at all would be MUCH appreciated !!

Thanks for reply. Sorry, but the prev. owner of my Pinzgauer just said the power steering box/assy. was off a "460 g-wagon" Can't offer any more info, at the moment as prev. owner is away on hols. I'm not familiar with g-wagons at all except that they appear to be built like a brick outhouse and perform very well off-road. IF I can get any more details I'll get back to you.
