Rough idle and bucking after Bowden cable install?
I have a 1995 E320 with 86K miles and I just had to replace the kickdown actuator, and the Boden cable. After they "fixed" my car the idle is a bit rough or maybe it is a little low. When I start the car, it seems a bit choppy and then it bucks a little (a slight uneven rocking feeling) when I am in reverse at idle speed. The car seems smooth at everything but idle, so I am not sure if it is just some kind of an adjustment that was messed up.
One thing that bugs me, about this most recent fix, is that there were no symptoms except for the check engine light. I never noticed any problems with the kickdown, but I spent quite a bit of money and now I have the idle bucking issue. They "fixed it" and now I have a problem. Do you know why my car would have a rough idle after installing a Bowden cable and the kickdown actuator?

You feel you love them too much, or you are just too stupid to know any better. ![]() Flickr slideshow of my 1995 E320 http://www.flickr.com/photos/24145497@N06/sets/72157616572140057/ |
