My 1995 s420 has a peculiar "mouse-like" squeak coming from the dashboard instrument cluster cover every time I hit the slightest bump - and seems to be getting worse! I sometimes hold down the top of the dash to keep the squeaks down but I look awfully silly driving with one hand holding down the dash. Does anyone have experience in fixing this problem?

Take the dash cluster out and rub the edges of the cluster with a little vaseline; that should do the trick...

Get a mouse trap. Wedge it down between the dash and the windshield. Whether it is truely a mouse, or just friction, you have your bases covered.
