Who has replaced the diff mount on a w123?

I'm just curious what is involved in replacing the differential mount on a w123 (mine is an '84 300D). Can it be done without removing the halfshafts? Does it have any affect on the ride height? The subframe mounts seem kind of difficult to do myself, but it looks like the differential mount can just be replaced by jacking up the car, supporting the diff., and unbolting the mount from the frame and diff. Let me know if there is more to it than that. Thanks, GregS '84 300D |
