time delay on dash oil level light- 87 300E

My oil sender light will come on if I make a sharp L hand turn when the oil level is 1/2 way between the dipstick marks. I have replaced the sender. There is a time delay in the dash. Does anyone know how to fix it? Anyone ever tried the dash repair companies?
Thanks

oil level light

Had same problem on my 86 300e - oil light on when cornering - I removed the inst cluster and re-soldered the connection on a small circuit board on the back of it - behind the tach as I recall which controls this function - has worked fine since - one can verify the PC board by following the wires from the oil light to the board.
Best.

I noticed that mine comes on also when cornering left if the oil level is half way between the marks on the stick. The indicator stays dark when I fill the oil. It really is quite sensitive to the level of oil in the sump.

I fooled around with this quite a bit, the sender was actually bad and I replaced it and the wire connector, so I know all is good there.

Just top off the oil, and you should be good to go.

Could you show a picture of where to solder? New dash parts are $300 if I remember correctly. This is an apparently common problem. I will try to follow the wires if there is no picture available. I also have replaced the sender twice. I also agree that topping up the oil works but is not the elegant solution.
