Hello: I have had my 86 300E now for almost 3 months. When I got it, the air cleaner hose was gone. I finally got a new one to go on, but I noticed there is a place for a sensor to go. I have looked high and low, but I do not see anything on my car that was laying around just waiting to be plugged into the hole. Is there a sensor, or is the new hose kind of a fit-all that would go on several models?

The later models 103 did have an intake air temp sensor where you are talking. If MB is only making one snorkle at this time there must be a plug for that hole as your car wouldn't need the hole.

The MB parts program should list all parts necessary to add an updated part.
