Center air vent rarely works
When A/C is on air only blows out of side vents. However occasionally (maybe once a day) it will switch over and use all of them for about 15 seconds then switch back to only side vents. Is this correct operation?

Well, I did it again. Posted before I ran a search on the topic. Plenty of info. Nevermind. Sorry.

I am curious if you found the problem and solution. Last year, my '87 300TD had a similar problem. After doing the search and getting some advice from, I believe Larry Bible, I removed the glove box and found ill fitting vac hoses on the device (forgot the name of the switching device). Using one of my miti vacs I traced several vacuum leaks. After fixing those, I was back to having operable vents. If you get a chance, post what you find/found. Thanks. Steve
