Please Help ! Steering wheel stuck in lock

I have a 1991 500sl and the steering wheel is stuck in lock position , I had the tumbler taken out by a lock smith because the key had broken off in the ignition , and he said he couldn't put the new tumbler in because he steering wheel is stuck in lock position , I can start the car with a screw driver because the ignition tumbler is out , but I can't turn the wheel , funny thing was I could turn it to the left , but it won't go to the right , now it is stuck , what can I do ?? Thanks

might help with idea of where to drill out pin on steering collar.

126 frozen steering lock/tumbler removal (fairly easy, but long)
