Thanks Diesel oil, U joint replacement

Thanks guys.

In case anyone is interested, I just had the U joint in my 88 300 SEL replaced by a local machine shop which has done a few of these (Mercedes and BMW). I was able to find a U joint via NAPA (hard to find these). This has eliminated the vibration problem between 2-3rd gear.
