S500 Window Problem Urgent
I have a 94 s500. Today, I rolled the front driver's side window down just like normal, but when i rolled it up, when the window was all the way up and I pushed the up button i heard a "thud thud thud" like sound; it was as if the motor was still trying to push the window up, even though it was all the way up. Then a little while later the window would no longer go to the highest position, it was not sealed, I could hear the wind whistling through. I also noticed the "automatic" window function no longer works on that specific window. I cannot do a one touch up or down. What gives? Is the window just lose in the channel?
I'm leaving for a long distance trip and cannot drive with that annoying whistle. Input greatly appreciated, as always. |

sounds like the ratchet mechanism to send the window up and down has broken. A clip like item that is a pain to replace.
Auto function not working may be due to fuse or blown motor, or perhaps it is working but not getting necessary feedback from window mechanism. YOu will have to take the door panel off
