high output alternator for 300E

Hello everyone
I just wondering where I can find higher output alternator for my 90 300E.
Are there any other alternators from lets say 420sel or 560sel fit? Or 400E maybe? I know that engines are different but still. Also does anybody now what is OEM 300E alternator output and 400E outputs are? And which alternators will fit 300E without major modifications to give me more amps?
Thank you

I had a 200 AMP alternator installed in my 300E. They used my stock bracket and extended the alternator pully a little. That was all that was needed to make the alternator fit. The stock alternators are only 70 amps, so once I installed my subwoofers, the factory alternator could not handle the drain. My alternator was a GM heavy duty unit, that cost me $150 and $50 installation, and I did't need a core. The MB 70 amp unit was $195 w/core and $295 without it. The GM alternator gave me no problems, and I can't imagine the amount of accessories I could've installed in the car with that alternator.

Hmm, what is the part number of the GM alternator? What engine is it off of? I might need to look into getting one.

The 143 amp alternator from the S-Class will also fit a six cylinder M103, just have to mount it so that the wire harness clears.

Check this link W124 alternator upgrade. 150A will work but it must have the old style (pre-2003) voltage reulator with a B+ post and a D+ post not the 2-prong new voltage regulator.
