I finally found a right-side mirror for my W115 at a great price. My only problem is I don't know if it will work on my car. The mirror came off a 1976 280. I have not seen the car, but the seller swears it is a W114/115 body. Am I crazy, or wasn't the 280 series a W116 body in 1976, and if so, will the mirror still fit my W115?

It should work, the 280 is the gasoline model. Even if it is a 116, I think both they both (115 and 116) used the same mirror. Only the 123 is not compatibility.

Thanks for the insight. I haven't bought it yet, but intend to do so immediately. The cost is only $60, and it is in excellent condition. One recently went on ebay, but it was too expensive -- $130. I was lucky to find this one!
