So what's this all about ?
(*) 229.5 engine oils must be used with fleece oil filter designed for use with 229.5 engine oils. MBUSA dealers use fleece oil filters for everything now.

YES!! everyone who believes that any car should run 10k-15k miles between services!

Rest assured, I change my oil ( Mobil 1 0W-40 ) every 6 k miles.
With the type of driving I do, the FSS normally adds another 1 k " Bonus " miles, which I ignore anyway.
Brings me back to my question.
Has ANYBODY ever seen the elusive, magical Fleece filter ?
Maybe a partsman ( person ) on this board ?

I posted this exact question about a month ago. A search should find that post. The answer came back that there was indeed a "fleece" filter (the poster supplied a link to one for sale). However there is not one available for my car so I lost interest. The issue I have is between 229.3 and 229.5. MB specifices 229.3 for my car but all I can find is 229.5 Mobil 1. However, I could probably use Delo 400 and it would be fine. But God forbid, lets please not start another oil thread!!!!!
