The power seats on my 97 E300 have gone wacky. Touching the driver and passenger switches to move the seats back, moves them forward, and forward moves them back. The seat back swithches do the same. However the headrests move up and down correctly according to the switch direction.
Does anyone know where to start to troubleshoot this wierd problem?? |

It is a typical sign of your power seat switch having gone bad. You can 1) buy a new one, or 2) get contact cleaner spray at Radio Shack and spray it into the dismantled switch. I did 2) a year ago and no problems at all.
