Replacing diff. fluid in '88 300SE

I am doing this job this weekend - don't have the car here - can someone tell me what I need to get the plug(s) out of diff. (what size socket)? I did this several years ago on a 201 model and it seems that I used an allen wrench that was welded to a socket.
