Hello everyone,

My passenger lock seems to be playing up on my 1989 300se. If you lock the doors from the drivers side, everything locks fine (including the passenger door). If you lock the door from the passenger side, only the passenger door locks. It's the same if you open the passenger door aswell, only that door will unlock.
I presume this is a vacuum leak or something, if anybody could shed any light on it that would be great.

I also think there is a problem with my driver's electric seat. It seems to move too quickly. The slightest tap on the adjustment will send you back or forward too quickly to make minor adjustments. In my dads 1993 500, you can hold your finger on the adjustment and it will slide back/forward slowly.

Any help appreciated
Oliver Plante

The door lock is not a vacuum problem.
The vacuum pods in the front doors are partly electrical and the electrical has to take care of the sucking and blowing of the central locking vacuum pump.
If the passenger door reacts fine when opening and closing the car from the drivers side and the trunk, there is nothing wrong with the vacuum system.
The electrical part of the passenger doors locking system is out of order (it is possible that it is just the connector on the pod that went loose)...

An electrical adjusted seat that moves to fast or slow is something that might be adjusted underneath the seat. I don't know whether it is possible to adjust the speed of the adjusting-motors...
